As we age, our skin changes. Over time, damage from the sun, environmental toxins, and other factors cause skin to lose its radiance and beauty. You may also start to develop skin imperfections such as rougher skin, an uneven skin tone, age spots, or other issues. The good news is that the vast majority of this damage happens to the top layer of your skin, since it is exposed to the environment. This means you can drastically improve the look and feel of your skin by using the right treatment, such as a Vivier peel . What is a Vivier Peel? A Vivier peel is a chemical peel that works to brighten and illuminate your skin, helping to reverse the signs of aging and treat skin imperfections. In addition to removing the outermost layer of your skin, it also hydrates and enriches your skin while providing micro-exfoliation to make your skin look younger, more radiant, and more beautiful. It is an excellent option for anyone who wants to look years younger while also treating a range of skin conditions including congested pores, acne, uneven skin tone, and much more. How Does it Work? For those who have not received one before, a common question is to ask “how do chemical peels work?” The answer is that they gently and effectively remove the top layer of skin to reveal the soft, supple skin underneath. As mentioned, the top layer of your skin goes through a lot. It is exposed to the environment all day long, and this can leave it looking and feeling dry, dull, and uneven. In addition, the top layer of your skin is the layer that develops wrinkles and fine lines as you age. By gently removing this layer, you expose the new, softer skin underneath. As this skin grows, your appearance will be more radiant, more beautiful, and more youthful. A Vivier peel also provides micro-exfoliation, which promotes cell renewal while also giving your skin a deep cleanse. The result is skin that is brighter, tighter, and more radiant than before. Who is this Treatment For? If you are experiencing some of the most common signs of aging, from skin that looks and feels dry or dull to skin that is uneven or damaged, a Vivier peel could be the right option for you. It can also help eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, making you look younger and more refreshed. Talk to Cynthia at Moser Medispa & Rejuvenation to find out if this is the right option for you. She can help you understand the benefits of the treatment and make the right choice for the health and beauty of your skin. What to Expect One of the main advantages to a Vivier peel is that, unlike what you may have heard about chemical peels, the treatment does not sting or burn. In fact, what you can expect is a comfortable and relaxing process where you’ll leave with your skin feeling softer and smoother than it has in years. The treatment is gentle and self-neutralizing, so you don’t even need to wash it off after it’s been applied. However, it is highly recommended to use Broad Spectrum SPF sunscreen following your treatment to protect your skin. How You Can Achieve the Best Results After your session, your skin may be slightly more sensitive for a short time. However, there is essentially no downtime following the treatment. It works with all skin tones and types, ensuring that you get the soft, beautiful, radiant skin you deserve. While you will likely see and feel noticeable results following a single treatment, it is typically recommended that you do multiple treatments, spaced apart, to get the best possible results. While each person is unique, about 3 treatments at least 4 weeks apart are usually recommended. Moser Medispa can help you find the right treatment and the optimal schedule for your skin and your condition. For more information or to book an appointment, please contact us online or call 705-529-4633 . Cynthia is here for you to help you look and feel your best!

If you have ever asked yourself, "what is microneedling" then you have come to the right place. Microneedling is a cosmetic treatment used by dermatologists to stimulate collagen formation by utilizing the body's natural healing reaction. It is a novel treatment for stretch marks, scars, and pigmentation issues. It is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy. This procedure is minimally invasive because it only uses microscopic needles to penetrate the skin. Read on to learn the hard facts about this revolutionary technology that can aid your skin in so many ways. What does microneedling do for your skin? Microneedling can do so much to rejuvenate your skin and give you a more youthful glow. Microneedling can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, uneven complexion, and acne or scarring. It also promotes firmness in the skin and seals your pores, leaving you with healthier-looking skin. Some would argue that it can be the closest thing to a fountain of youth, as it often affects the signs of aging on your skin. Simply said, everything looks smoother, firmer, and younger. It is also suitable for hyperpigmentation and severe redness in the skin. There are very few negative side effects with microneedling, which makes it highly accessible to all who are interested in receiving the treatment. The most common adverse effects are minor skin dryness or peeling, with uncommon cases of mild scab formation. How does microneedling work exactly? As mentioned before, the technology uses tiny needles to puncture the skin with thousands of microscopic holes. It encourages the development of new collagen and elastin, similar to how the body makes new skin to mend an open wound. The microneedling procedure is gentle enough without producing scars or causing extreme skin discoloration. Maintenance is key How well you follow aftercare guidelines following your treatment and how often you undergo microneedling will determine how well your results will look in the long run. It would be best if you avoid makeup for the first 12 hours after receiving microneedling treatment. For the first 48 hours after undergoing the procedure, avoid washing your face with hot water; lukewarm is safer for your skin, which is sensitive at this time. When drying your face, do so with the utmost care, and avoid tugging at your skin. It would be optimal if you underwent treatments at least twice a year to maintain the benefits of your initial round of microneedling procedures. These follow-up rounds will rejuvenate your skin and help you to continue enjoying the fantastic benefits. These treatments, together with an excellent skincare regimen, will aid in maintaining microneedling outcomes. Leave it to the pros If you want optimal results, it is best to have your microneedling performed by a seasoned professional. They have the training, knowledge and better tools to help rejuvenate your skin. Derma Rolling vs. Microneedling While derma rolling and microneedling both are forms of facial treatments, there are differences in terms of safety. Derma rollers can be risky as the same needles used penetrate the skin multiple times, which increases the risk of infection. Furthermore, derma rolling doesn’t provide an even penetration to the skin as the needle is inserted at a 45-degree angle. On the other hand, microneedling is considered much more safe as it is performed using a sterile needle that penetrates the skin at a 90-degree angle. Additionally, unlike derma rollers, microneedling allows for deeper levels of penetration with greater accuracy and control. Therefore before deciding on either form of facial treatment available it is important to remember they do not come without risks associated with them. Treat yourself to a microneedling session Tired of your dull, uneven complexion? Are you interested in helping your skin find its natural glow? At Moser Medispa & Rejuvenation, we offer microneedling services that will improve many of your skincare worries.
